Compassionate Care, Local Roots: Get to Know Our Team.
At Top Dog Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Service, we believe that exceptional pet care starts with an exceptional team. Founded in 2011 by Shannon McKinzie, a lifelong Fort Worth resident, our mission has always been to provide compassionate, reliable, and personalized care for your beloved pets. We are committed to being the best place to work so that we can offer you the best care in the industry.
Our team members, affectionately known as “pet nannies,” undergo comprehensive training, including pet first aid and CPR certification, to ensure they are equipped to handle any situation with professionalism and care. Each pet nanny is fully vetted through detailed background checks, and we contact previous employers to verify their references. We are fully insured and bonded, giving you peace of mind while you’re away.
Beyond our dedication to our clients, we are passionate about giving back to the community and saving lives. Our team actively volunteers and fosters for local rescues, including Highway Hounds, Saving Hope Rescue, Benbrook 4Paws, and Fort Worth Animal Control. We are also proud members of the Benbrook Chamber of Commerce, Texas Pet Sitters Association, and Pet Sitters International, reflecting our commitment to professional excellence and community engagement.
At Top Dog, your pets are not just animals; they are family. We look forward to meeting you and your fur-babies and providing the loving care they deserve.
