There are over 40 miles of trails along the Trinity River and its tributaries. This network of trails connects with 21 different parks including The Japanese Garden, The Botanical Garden, Fort Worth Zoo, Log Cabin Village, and the historic Stockyards in downtown Fort Worth. This is a truly wonderful place to enjoy some quality time with your furry friend.

Oakmont Park

Located at 7000 Bellaire Dr. S, Fort Worth TX. Oakmont Park is a paved section of the Trinity River Trail system in Southwest Fort Worth. It is a very pleasant 5.4 mile trail that is frequently used by bicyclists and dog walkers. The trail itself winds through Oakmont Park and Pecan Valley park in Benbrook. There is also a gorgeous looking river near the trail that only adds to the tranquility of the overall atmosphere. It’s worth mentioning that all dogs must be kept on a leash while walking this trail.

ZBonz Dog Park

Located at 6950 Camp Bowie W Blvd, Fort Worth, TX. ZBonz Dog Park is one of the top rated dog parks in the Fort Worth, TX area. This ten-acre, fully irrigated dog park is actually built on the former Z. Boaz Golf Course. There are separate sections of the park for both large and small dogs. Additionally, there are also two pet shelters, pet fountains, an assortment of agility items, and two aerated ponds. It’s worth mentioning that ZBonz Dog Park is closed every Monday for regular maintenance. Otherwise, they are open from 5:30am to 11:30pm.

Located at 3217 Dakota Trail, Lake Worth, TX. The Keenum-Shelton Dog Park is a very popular location for dog owners. This park features separate areas for both large and small dogs. All areas have benches, agility equipment, and large trees for shade. This is a great place to take your dog for some extra exercise, stimulation, socialization, and playtime.
