Before joining Top Dog, each pet nanny undergoes a background check and provides references/previous employers to be reviewed by Top Dog. We also ensure they complete 8 hours of comprehensive training, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to care for your pets with excellence and compassion.
Beyond our dedication to our clients, we are passionate about giving back to the community and saving lives. Our team actively volunteers and fosters for local rescues, including Saving Hope Rescue, Benbrook 4Paws, and Fort Worth Animal Control.
At Top Dog, your pets are not just animals; they are family. We look forward to meeting you and your fur-babies.
Shannon McKinzie, Owner
In 2011 I left Corporate America after 16 years to open Top Dog. This has been a dream of mine for more than 25 years. I am so happy and thankful to be doing something I REALLY LOVE.
I handle questions, scheduling, and phone calls that get you paired with the sitter that is the perfect fit for you and your best friend. I am also the back up for all of my pet nannies in case of illness and accident to make sure that all of our furry clients are taken care of.
Rosalee Dameron, Pet Nanny
In 2009 Rosalee retired from the fraud department of Sprint in Kansas City and moved back home. By 2012, she was bored to death and ready to work. She was offered the opportunity to pet sit and since she has always had and loved animals she decided it would be a great fit for her. She currently has one dog, a teacup poodle named Tinkerbell. Rosalee says working at TopDog has been one of her favorite jobs. The animals she has met have become family to her.
Cassandra Ford, Pet Nanny
Hi, I’m Cassandra! I’ve called Fort Worth home since 2004, where I live with my husband and our wonderfully blended family of six children—think “Brady Bunch” meets Texas charm. Together, my husband and I run a small electronic repair shop, Fix It Planet, in Benbrook. Animals have always been a big part of my life. We share our home with dogs and cats and have cared for a variety of exotic pets over the years. I’m passionate about rescue work and have fostered countless animals through organizations like Saving Hope and Dallas DogRRR. Beyond animals, my greatest joy comes from being a Gigi to my seven grandchildren. I love traveling, exploring new places, and creating lifelong memories with my family. Whether at home with furry friends or on the road, I embrace life with love and adventure!
Helen McFall, Pet Nanny
Hi! I’m Helen McFall and I was born in Fort Worth and lived here much of my life. I graduated from St. Edward’s University and TCU. Afterwards, I taught Sp. Ed. middle school and am now retired. My wonderful son and daughter have married, have great families and are very busy. Currently, I am a master gardener, swimmer, and knitter. I enjoy cooking, reading and being outside. Last March my sweet 14-year-old standard poodle went to doggie Heaven, and I miss his curly hair, our long walks and fun times. I think that is one reason I wanted to be part of the Top Dog family. I’m very excited to be working with their great team and look forward to making your pets happy and enjoy their time away from you.
Sophie Ford, Pet Nanny
I’m Sophie, I’m currently a freshman at UT Arlington majoring in Graphic Design. When I’m not at school I work part-time as a kennel tech at Southside Veterinary Clinic. I have been around animals since birth. As an infant, I learned how to stand by using our 125-pound family dog to help balance. I have experience with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, and rodents. My family has fostered for several large rescues located here in DFW and currently run our own small 501c3 rescue. I currently am a mom to three dachshunds who are my children. I love dachshunds, the color pink, and all things kpop.
Danielle Dixon, Pet Nanny
Hey! I’m Danielle! I was born and raised on the East Coast but have been living in Fort Worth for about 8 years now. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s in History and San Jose State University with a Master’s in Library and Information Science. After working with children and teaching Pre-K for many years, I wanted to find something that allowed me to be home with my kids more and Top Dog was the perfect fit! After about a year of working for Top Dog, I transitioned to work mostly in the office – so if you’re a new client or an existing client booking services, you’ll likely talk to me! I grew up with different pets from dogs and cats to hamsters and guinea pigs. I’ve also fostered dogs and kittens in the past with Saving Hope Rescue and I lived my childhood dream of riding horses from childhood to my college years – one day will get back to it! My fiancé and I currently have 2 toddler boys, Luke and Waylon, along with 2 dogs and 2 orange cats (who are all named after historical figures!). I’m so excited to be a part of the Top Dog team and can’t wait to meet you and your pets!
Leanne Bochenko, Pet Nanny
Hi my name is Leanne. As a fur mom to two gorgeous Goldens, Nash and Noel. I found that I was having problems finding someone to sit with them while I went on vacation. Someone that would care for them and put my mind at ease. I have heard so much about Top Dog and their services that I decided to join the team. For 25 years I’ve had cats, gerbils and hamsters. I am a foster mom for Highway Hounds. I have also rescued ferrets for over 23 years. Taking care of animals is a passion for me because there is a genuine need for people who love their furry companions to know they are taken care of.
Kara Stanei, Pet Nanny
Hello! My name is Kara Stanei. I am from West Texas but moved to Fort Worth after graduating from ASU with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Once I settled in here in Fort Worth, I became an RN until I had my two rambunctious boys! I have been married to my husband, Bogdan for 13 years and we have two dogs, Ace (16 year old mutt) and Doris (11 year old lab mix) both rescues. I have had many animals over my lifetime including dogs, cats, fish, bearded dragons, hermit crabs, bunnies, ducks and chickens! I love all animals and can’t wait to love on yours as well!
Natalie Burton, Pet Nanny
Hi! I’m Nat, a 22-year veteran of the veterinary medical field who is excited to meet your babies! I was born and raised here in Fort Worth, then went to college in San Antonio and graduated, then went in a completely different direction and got my degree – and later, my license – in veterinary technology. I traveled for a while before settling back home with my high school sweetheart and a variable number of cats. I love connecting with pets on their individual level and creating a bond through gentle interaction and respecting their boundaries and needs. Every pet is unique, and I pride myself on finding that special something that they need to feel comfortable and loved while their parents are away. I have experience with pets of all kinds, and am able to give medication your baby may need. I hope to meet you and your babies soon!
Christine Lyons, Pet Nanny
Hi! My name is Chris and I am an Iowa girl who recently moved here to Texas by way of Illinois. I graduated with a degree in History and Spanish, and later got my master’s degree at NMSU. After doing Museum work, I started my own online business selling vintage children’s books, which I love and still pursue. I have a great love for all animals and have had a number of pets throughout my life, including dogs, cats, rabbits and parakeets. I am currently without any furry friends at home as I left behind Abby, a beautiful 12 year-old English Springer spaniel, safe at home in Illinois, and my dear cat Tobias who left this life in March of this year. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets!
Jada Joblin, Pet Nanny

I have spent my life surrounded by animals of all kinds and have an innate ability to see the good in every creature. With a background in psychology and counseling from college, I co-owned a successful tree service business for 20 years while raising four wonderful children. Now a proud grandmother to four and pet parent to two cats, Leo and Delilah, I also share a sweet Chihuahua named Chica. I am excited to meet your furry companions and ensure they feel loved, safe, and happy while in my care.
Andrea Arabie, Pet Nanny
Andrea Arabie is a lifelong animal lover with nearly a decade of experience in the veterinary industry. A proud Tarleton State University graduate, she has called Benbrook home since 2014. Her love story began in the most heartwarming way — through her late dog Cooper, who brought her and her husband, Adam, together. Today, they are proud parents to two energetic boys, Michael (10) and Collin (8), who attend Benbrook Elementary.
Adam serves the community as a firefighter for Lockheed Martin, while Andrea channels her passion into multiple meaningful roles. She is the founder and creative mind behind Arabie Media Co., where she blends storytelling, branding, and digital strategy with heart and hustle. Her entrepreneurial drive is matched by her commitment to local families — now in her seventh year with the PTA, she’s widely known for her leadership, kindness, and unwavering dedication.
Andrea also devotes time to volunteering with Benbrook 4Paws at the Benbrook Animal Shelter, helping save the lives of local animals in need.
Whether she’s behind the camera, planning a school event, or caring for pets, Andrea approaches everything she does with authenticity, creativity, and compassion.
Hannah Heuerman
Hi, I’m Hannah! Fort Worth has been my home for most of my life, so I am very familiar with the local area. I am currently studying for the HESI A2 exam as I prepare to apply to medical programs in the near future.
My late family dog, Irving Bryant—yes, named after the street—was the pup who inspired me to become a more attentive and compassionate pet owner. He also gave me a deeper understanding of the special bond we share with our pets and the grief pet parents experience after losing a beloved companion.
Today, I am the proud pet parent of Athena, a pit mix, and Sophie, a lab mix. Both are rescues and have been cherished members of my family for more than a decade.
I have always had a passion for animals and have been surrounded by dogs for most of my life. When I’m not caring for pets, I enjoy spending time with my own dogs, reading, relaxing by my neighborhood pool, and traveling whenever I have the opportunity.
I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing them with the attentive, dependable, and loving care they deserve!
